Default G5X4 + LS6 heads + bolt-ons =??

Ok i've been switching setups for the past few weeks but finally got it down now. I've got the parts coming in this week and should be doing the install within a couple weeks. I've chosen the G5X4 with stock LS6 heads and have all the complimentary bolt-ons already. I have searched to see what numbers other people have with this combo, but not too many do. So....what HP/TQ do you think i should get with this??

Mods are:
MTI lid
P&P TB
SLP MAF
LS6 Intake
PRC LS6 Stage 1 heads
G5X4 cam
ASP pulley
Pacesetter LT's w/ ORY
Hooker Catback
M6 with 4.10's

Would this be a solid 420+RWHP combo? also you think i would benefit with bigger injectors? with some drag radial i just want a 11 sec pass

11's for sure with that combo. I'd say cam only with the G5X4 with good tires and 60ft time will get you 11's, so with heads it's shouldn't be difficult. Would you race it at Sear's Point? Infinion, or how ever you spell it?? lol

it should be over 410 cam only with a good tune and the stock ls6 heads guess is around 429 ish hp 398 trq

stock ls6 heads arent going to make alotta difference now if you get the ported and milled youll pick up some good power

yeah? and im SURE you have personally used stock ls6 heads right? dont speak about something you have no clue about.. i made over 40rwhp on a mustang dyno from a swap to 243s and a 90/90
the 243s flow much better then 241s

sweet! yeah i would like to get them ported but really dont want to spend the extra money. Lou from LG said mill them to 59cc but i would have to flycut the pistons. I really dont want to do that, but he said it will be great for that cam.

yeah i know, its just fly-cutting will be expensive. I might see if i can mill them to 62cc and get by with PTV.

anyhow, any other guess for power wise?

Even at 62 with a X4 it will be close. The cam makes power! I've had it in a combo before with a set of old ported ls6 heads and a fast and made 470 thru a 12 bolt.

im right there with you man, i dont want to flycut my pistons either... so thats why i chose to not even mill my heads.. My 243s w/ stock gasket will give me plenty clearence (i believe) for what i want. if i had the tools, and knew how to measure PTV clearence.. i say it would be VERY VERY wise to do so.
I like your nice emissions friednly set up though!

thanks, and screw emissions!! hahaha

instead of milling them and having to flycut, im probably just gonna have them Port & polish to help the flow a little more

ud actually be surprised i actually have them on my car now u did say u gained 40 hp on a dyno with stock 243s and a 90/90 setup well duh thats possible take the 90/90 setup off and u gain 20 or so horses like i said, while stock 243s flow better than the 241s id go ahead and get them ported and worked and make a more significant amount of power

Mill them!!! If they are off the car, do yourself a favor and mill them. It helps everything across the board. Compression is your friend with cams of this size

Ill make a killer deal on the flycutting tool that you cant refuse. Trust me, you will thank me and Frost later
