TSP 233/239 112LSA vs TR230
Okay well i actually purchased a cam awhile back and had to sell it cause i was in a bind. but anyways its done, its final, im doing this damn cam install!!! Ive narrowed down my choices to these two cams. I know ive seen some people make some pretty stout numbers with the tr230 and its making me reconsider my tsp choice. the car is an A4 with a tci3500 converter and 3.23's. It has lt's, o/r y, cutout, lid, and stupid stuff like plug wires and what not. Which cam would be a better choice?? The car isnt a daily driver but i still drive it around 100 miles a week.
which cam should i do ladies!?!?!

I would go with a custom grind. Contact PatrickG on the board and he can set you up. I've seen a cam only (LS6 intake) C5Z on here go over 420 RWHP with a 224/230 0.60X" on XFI lobes. That would drive much nicer/easier to tune than the two cams you listed and make more power too!

O damn nice.
The only thing thats making me kinda sketch with the TSP is the fact that it has a pretty high lift
I dont wanna spend the extra money on the dual valve springs. i know the new comps 918's are rated @ .625 but i dont know if i should take the gamble...

yeah man running the X1 here. but i was looking at the 233/239 cam also. for me it was a toss up between the 233/239, 231/237 or the X1. i went with the X1 just because i liked what everybody said bout there reverse split cams for street cams. but for my liking the 233/239 would maybe be the biggest i would go though for sure.
yeah i made 395 rwhp on stock heads with my A4 without a pulley. another guy just had the X1 installed on his auto with a bigger stall and made 39x as well..

ive looked of MTI's site tho and i cant find a cam package. I also heard they went out of buisness??? Dont know if thats true or not but i like the fact that i can get a complete cam kit for a little over 600 bucks from TSP.

Not to hijack but I have a 233/239 112lsa coming out of my car soon with about 3k miles on it if your interested.
I loved it for my NA application. Great midrange and a sick topend pull. Plus the idle sounds mean as fock. I am going with a custom turbo grind though as I picked up an Incon twin turbo kit.

my torque was low.. it was like 345 or 350. i dont think the converter was locked. its a vig 3200. no track times as of yet. i believe MTI no longer does performance for lsx cars. but im sure you can find a used cam. i would look into the TR230 for sure though.
