Default Heads

Help me pick a good pair of heads for my 226/226 112 patriot performance cam. I am looking for at least 400 hp. I have an intake manifold, throttle body, trual dual, headers, and slp lid.

AFR if you have the money IMO. They are great for smaller cams.

400 HP is very easily attainable. We use the Total Engine Airflow Stage 1 ported heads and have seen between 425 and 445 RWHP with cams in the same range you are using. The great part is we can get you a set for well under $1500. There are alot of other ways to go using a more worked over head or even a trickflow casting. Though with your goals I know the TEA Stage 1's will suit your needs.

Thanks,
Leo

I'd check out the PRC Stage 2.5 5.3L heads! They have a smaller intake runner than our competitors comparable 5.3 head so you don't have to spin alot of RPM to make great power and a price that fits your budget! Check out the dyno results section of this site and you'll find plenty of great results from similar camshafts to yours and these heads
