You still on the 10 bolt?
The Dyno Clip in my sig is when I had a Kooks Catted Y and GMMG on my car. Now I have the x-pipe and Spiral Flows. Still on the stock 3.42 10 bolt.

What about a vengance cam like the "Vindicator?" Everywhere I look, it sounds promising. I just dont know if it will match the PRC's 5.3's, maybe Texas-Speed can chime in on that.

Sorry TSP, i'm not trying to **** on your cams, cuz I'm not. I am just seeing if the 5.3L heads will work with the vindicator?

Hey Im definetly NOT an expert on cam theory but let me throw my 2 cents in here...
Most of the people here with a good amount of experience will tell you not to shy away from so called 'baby' cams. There is nothing wrong with a 224r or 228r or cams of the like, depending on heads they can make serious power. I think weve all seen AFR heads with a smallish cam making 450rwhp. Ive seen one guys dyno sheet who has AFR 205's and a 222 cam and hes making 437rwhp with a tad less torque.
The great thing about smaller cams is that Im into my power band well before 2000 rpm. at 2500+ the car is a beast. Youll see If you look around many people with heavily camed cars making huge numbers but they have power bands that look like Mt. Everest. Seriously what is the point of having 500+ rwhp if your only making that much power between 6000 and 7000 rpm? This may be an exageration(sp?) but I hope it makes my point. Id much rather have a nice, fat curve with lots of torque under it! Unless your driving a straight race car then well I have nothing to say because I dont know.
Here OP check this thread out, its a long read but I hope it will be helpfull.

There are two types of cars, the Daily Drivers and the weekend drivers, My car is built for a daily driver, but I only weekend drive it, and at the track. And for me to try and keep up with the guys at the track, I know I have to go Bigger. The guys in San Antonio Raceway dont mess around. Im talking about 9 and 10 second cars are the norm. So if your going with your everyday driver, stay with a 22x cam, if not, go BIGGER! ...with a good tune ofcourse.

Not to mention, bigger cams are mainly for the drag and the smaller cams are good for the street/road courses cuz the torque starts high and remains high throughout the power band. Your able to stay in a certain gear longer and maintain the same torque from, for example, 3000-5500rpm's. And you have to remember that if you get a big cam, you have to change out your rear gears. Thats why alot of people surge on the bottom end of the rpm's and arent pleased with their cam they selected.

$.02

that is exactly what I don't want!!!!

On the torquer 3 it shows the power band at 2300 - 6700 rpm... so how is the bottom end power with this cam??
