Default Looking to upgrade to 85mm mass air info needed

I Have a 99 camaro with stage 2 patriot heads and a torquer v.3 cam. I recently installed a 78mm fast intake on the car. I got a really good deal on the fast 78 thats why I used it. The car has full bolt ons except for the electric water pump. right now it still has the stock unported throttle body and stock mass air flow sensor. I am looking to upgrade to a 85mm mass air and probly a 85mm throttle body. can the 85mm truck mass air be used? If I swap on a 85mm mass air and 85mm throttle body will I have to get the car retuned? I just had it dyno tuned like two weeks ago when I had the fast intake installed.
I was also wondering if the larger mass air and throttle body would maybe gain a few Horse power? right now the car made 400 hp and 370tq to the rear wheels through a 4l60e and 3800 converter.

you are going to need a tune running a truck maf . i put one on my ride and it just smoked a few seconds and died . the aftermarket ones are supposed to be tuned but still with aftermarket parts it will need another tune . i think it is just some resistors in the aftermarket .

Let me ask this then What good does it do to run a 90/90 set up if you have a stock size mass air that will only let that amount of air move through your intake?

Why run the 85mm stuff when your intake is only 78mm?

You can actually port the throttle body mounting area on a 78mm fast to 85mm. There is a right up of it on here some where with pictures and every thing. I also have a spare top cover for my fast 78 intake to port.
hey Chris1313 what mass air do you use? is it the truck unit or a slp?
