nice way to start off.....

is this a A4 or M6? A4's will not see big gains like the M6 cars will. i only picked up 30rwhp with a TR 230/236 cam, but at the same time i have a 3200 stall so i didn't expect to see 40-50 hp gains.

Basically its not a huge cam, duration will often dictate gains and LS1 cyl heads often stall out @ .550" of lift, so all that extra cam lift means nothing until you get work done and then again when combined with a LS6 or even bigger, the CFM you push will only be so much.

I would have the car retuned, if it hasnt already, even with a 228/227 cam, it should have gained.

He should have gained much more than 20rwhp, stock heads do not "stall" at .050, The extra intake lift while not rational, acts as a crutch to get more intake charge in, this is a high reving cam, till 6800+ so midrange trq will suffer and the cure is higher compression.
Also is this cam straight up with no advance in grind, if so it needs ddegreing, because if not I would bet my socks that it is actualy retarded now and that is where part of the other 20rwhp went. Properly done that is a 40+rwhp cam
If on 116+0 that cam has around 49>50* IVC, way late for stock SCR/DCR, it is LSK Comp cam lobes, looks like TR grind.
To make it better, advance 4* (if no advance in grind) and add compression like a set of 5.3L ported

Look at my sig, that is a similar cam, look at the compression I'm running and the output.

Guys, this cam was designed for ETP or TF 215's with good intake and exhaust and 11:1 compression. We consistantly see 435-450 at the wheels through fairly large converters with this combo. The cam has 4 degrees of advance ground in and has VERY GOOD driveability. I do offer this cam on a 114 for less efficient cylinder heads.

Thanks,
Shane

Put the heads that it was designed for on and get a tune. You will love it for sure!
