Headgasket part number for 02 LS6 heads on LS1 engine Hello I am getting ready to put in a ported set of 02LS6 heads but am not sure which headgaskets to use. These are going on a 2000 SS (LS1 engine).

I have GM gaskets, part number 12558809 and 12558810. I'm wondering if those will work with 02 Heads on my 99Z. And if so, which one goes with the passenger side etc..?

Re: Headgasket part number for 02 LS6 heads on LS1 engine You might consider the Fel-pro gaskets. I am putting ported LS6 heads on a 2000LS and got many recomendations including Absolute Speed's for the stock Fel-pro # 9284pt. If you want to get fancy they have a #1041 which is their "high performance" set.
