Default New Build..... 6.0 iron..

Well i blew up my Ls1 in my camaro last weekend at the track and got a 6.0 iron block and dropped it off at my machine shop this morning... Im either gonna build a 408 or 418.. Just curious if anyone knows if the 4.100 stroke with the 6.125 rod will clear the stock f-body pan or do i need to go with 4.000 stroke and do the 408??? And what kind of cam suggestions you have, i have a set of dart 225 heads that flowed 320 @ .600 before some chamber polishing and possible porting, havent decided yet if i want to port anymore they have been massaged a small bit around the valve and thats it... and it is still gonna be driven on the street a few times a week atleast so keep that in mind...

mid 240-250s cam? From what I've seen for 408's, are like 242's and 244 cams, but not sure what LSA's those are on. Contact Pat G and see what he thinks.

We do a 418 with the LQ9 as well so yes it can be done

Cam all depends on your goals and what use you intend with the car. All out drag setup or street strip.

its gonna be a street strip setup, so the 4.100 stroke will clear the stock fbody pan or do i need to go to a bigger pan??
