Default LS2 coils dont fit LS1? Mine directly bolted on? Do i not have LS2 coils then?

I somehow came across a link talking about the ls2 coils and i followed it to pictures and such and i think my coils look like the ls1 coils but i didnt have to modify my harness at all to get them to work. I actually got these for like $40 shipped from a guy parting out a last model truck. They are round and have the heat sinks on the ends of them and i just bought them since i needed a set. Are they ls2 style coils?

Heres a pic of my engine and an ebay auction with what looks like the same exact coils (just cleaner) to me.

Agreed, you actually have some LS1 style truck coils by the looks of it.

Oh ok i had bought them as ls1 truck coils i wasnt sure. My ls1 coils that came with my engine were big and square. So how can you tell them apart from the ls2 coils in the ebay auction?

What would be the difference between the coils. Also why would it be different dont they use the same valve covers?
