how much is 'some'? Its deffinantly not a good thing, whether or not its worth selling it for its kinda up to you. It could run great for years, it could puke next time you start it. Kinda depends on where the shavings came from and how much you found.
some shavings are normal, are we talking actual particles big enough to seperate from the others, or just a little cluster of shavings? in any case, both of my ls1's have had some every oil change, if your really worried, put a magnet on the bottom of your oil filter for 1 interval, split the filter apart when its time about 3k miles and see what you got. re post how much you found, sounds like its just normal wear and tear to me. my 99 had 155k miles on it before it was totaled and ran great. still pulling low 13'1s consistently on shitty tires with lid and catback and 4.10's. my 02 has low miles and still has some fuzz every time,
well i say fix it...i dont believe in selling something that you know is gonna go or atleast has something majorly wrong internally and then selling it to someone that is unknown of the problems, and then just totally screwing them over...dont do that..
so if you was to sell it would you tell the buyer that the car runs perfect and there is nothing wrong with it that way once they get it back home they can pull the motor and put another one in it....

Thats normal. You do have metal that is going to touch metal. Good old friction bearings. As long as you don't pull out the drain plug and have aluminum chilly coming out your fine. Fuzz is gonna happen.
P.S. Would you say anything about it if you sold it? If not that's pretty messed up to try and sell a car as good and it's not up to par.

talk to auto tech teacher. it would be great thing to rebuild it in auto class. well you also can ride the yellow taxi to school while your getting it rebuilt. i know it would suck but i knew a bunch of friends that did it in our auto tech class. or swap in a 6.0 in the tech class. i am very sure the teacher would allow it.
