My 5.3 heads were milled .40 and I was told I had a 57cc chamber
I can't see how it runs on pump gas unless it's loosing all it's timing due to knock retard.
Runs just fine on 93 octane (for the last 1.25 years)

Re: good amount to mill 5.3L heads, what compression I had .015 milled off mine and have 11.1 to 1 C/R and run the stock length pushrod(7.4) The TR cams base circle is .03 smaller than stock so there is no problem with milling the .015.

either way i just ordered my heads, 5.3L milled .015 for 11:1 compression and running 7.4" pushrods
