How much will head cam car gain w/ dyno tune?
Just got heads and cam installed along w/ headers. They couldn't tune my car b/c the computer had be flashed by gm first. I'm taking it in 3 days to get it dyno tuned. I was wondering how much a tune will be worth on this car. It's running pretty bad right now, idle is surging etc.. Anyways what should it dyno? 01' 6 speed w/ JPR S2 heads, TR224, FLP's w/ hiflow cats, borla, lid, pulley, tb, mass air? TIA, I'll post results on wed. <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

The amount of hp you gain from a tune varies mostly by how your car is running right now, rich or lean? If your car is running a good air/fuel ratio already then not too much can be done to improve hp. Driveability is where you will see the improvements. My car drove like a totally different car after it was tuned, now it drives EXACTLY how it drove stock but on steroids. I had mine tuned at Speed Inc. by Jim who is a great tuner, the experience of the tuner is also VERY important.
You should see 410-425 hp at the wheels.

Thanks. I figured that's what would probably happen, increased drivability. I'll post the results when I get them.
