Hot Cam + 1.8 Rockers
I believe the LS1 HotCAM with the stock rockers is .525 lift, so I figure with 1.8 rockers it would be 555.8 or .556 Lift,
Has anyone here done this,
performance gains vs. stock rockers???
any other problems???
Can I get away with using the springs that come w/Hotcam kit???
Any information is appreciated,

I have not heard of anyone doing this yet, but I have thought about it myself. I dont think it would be a good idea to use the "Hotcam" springs though, should probably upgrade to Comp 918 or something like them. I am pretty sure that LPE makes a cam that is very similar to the Hotcam (Just a higher lift) with that cam you could have a cam with pretty much the same specs as the Hotcam+Rockers for less $$$$.

Re: Hot Cam + 1.8 Rockers
I've got it. Only did it because I already had a Hotcam that I had picked up for $180 and was going install a set of TEA S2 5.6 heads w/dual springs.
Felt the heads were going to go to waste with only 525 worth of lift and I had a line on a set of Cranes for $350. So I figured what hell, why not. Extra lift and the advantage of roller tips ... plus time was of the essence.
Really haven't tuned the car yet and haven't had the chance to get it down the track. So no objective data on how the set up is working. But SOTP is WOW .. Cold idle is a little rough, but it's fine after it warms up .. tuning should take care of that.
If I was doing a build from scratch though, I would just get a cam with the lift straight out.

Thanks for sharing, MysticZ. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" /> I have been considering getting some crane 1.8 roller rockers to go with my hotcam too, but haven't been able to find much feedback about it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> Please post any new info when you can <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
