Default Comp Cams 54-000-11...is this

Is this the "small base circle" cam?

I have a 98 LS1 that I would like to use this cam on with a set of 243 heads and LS6 intake.

OK, what should I look for to determine if this is the smaller base circle cam?

I guess my concern is, if this is the smaller base circle cam, I am going to need longer push tubes. Then again....I asked around and was told *if* it is a smaller base circle cam, just install it and do not worry about the push tubes, the hydraulic lifters will compensate. You guys are the experts on LS's. I'm just an old school drag racer trying to cross over.

I doubt it's a small base circle. Post up the numbers on the front of the cam, and we should be able to identify the lobe master/profile?

The cam has on numbers the back end, no numbers on the front end of the cam....

That is the cam core Comp uses for their LS cams. 54=LS1 000=custom cam 11=steel billet roller.

My mistake - I have several cams in boxes and this cam was in the wrong box. It is a GM ZO6 small base circle cam for a 02 ZO6.

Any recommendations on who to go with on these longer push tubes? Any specific part number?
