I'm not sure but an MS3 might be a little much without gears and a big stall?

I run it fine in an M6, but it would love my car a lot more if I had 4.10's. It doesn't like to be lugged at all... Well at least I don't like lugging it.

The stock springs should ALWAYS be upgraded when you do a cam swap. The stock springs will hold next to nothing but a stock cam.

TSP 228R here. Very streetable and runs consistent 11.70s cam only with Yank 3600 stall, and the stock 3.23 gears.

navybluess that's a pretty big cam, stock heads? Does it have a pretty healthy crackling idle? Also what rpm is your idle set at?

I chose the TSP 224R. My setup is in my sig. Won't know till Friday how much it picked up. Here's a vid of the cam installed and running. My cutout lid is off in the vid. It's towards the end of the thread on pg2.

Checkout our recent camshaft dyno post with engine dyno specs from several of our most popular camshafts. The 228R TSP camshaft made 75 horsepower gains!!! For the power & driveability this camshaft is really hard to beat. Huge horsepower & awesome driveability is pretty hard to beat

The car idles at 900rpm, and has lopey, healthy sounding idle.

what kind of idle does the 224 cam have? Also how do you think a 224 or 228 will work with a 2400-2600 stall convertor?

I am DD a 233/236 w/114+4 in am M6 which I am sure does not help you at all.

But I am running a custom cam sale, you might want to take a look at. If you compare the lobes they are very similar to the comp XE-R

With a stall that size I would go smaller with a 224. 224 on 112 LSA has plenty of lope
