Oil Pressure

Just got my car back from the shop,cleaned up the heads,new springs,valves,valve job car runs very strong but today im noticing at idle my oil pressure is about 30-35lbs maybe when i start crusiing it goes up a lil more around 40ish and of course at WOT it goes to about 60. Just wondering if i should be worried at all? I already went thru a oil pump problem and replaced it with tsp ported ls6 oil pump which is basically brand new in the car. I think im just paranoid

My tsp ported oil pump is about 70psi at WOT, and around 45 at idle. What oil are you running?

I think you fine. Not every oil pump is going to kick out the same psi. 05 psi at idle is perfectly fine and 60 psi and WOT is fine as well.

the general rule of thumb is 10 psi for every 1k rpm. as long as your atleast that your perfectly fine.

I'm nearly in the same boat as you. I idle 40 hot and won't get over about 45 running 70 MPH but when I get on it it will go to about 60. The weird thing is my 5.3 LS based truck idles 45 hot, runs 55 at 70 mph but still won't go over 60 at WOT???? I think we are both fine!!! As long as it rises good at WOT we are ok
