Default TSP MS3 Daily Drivable?

Ok I have a MS3, it came in my car when I bought it...when I bought it I was told that my car was tuned. Only problem is that I cannot have the AC on when I idle the car stalls out! Now on the highway and while driving steady anything above first gear ac works awesome!

I dont think my car was tuned at all or tuned for nitrous because it does run very rich. Does anyone else have this cam and how is drivability with the tune?

Im thinking about ripping it out and going stock because this is my daily. Gas mileage isnt that bad, but driveability is horrible!

I have the MS3 and its my daily driver with no problem. If anything i would say either the car has not been tuned, or the tune just really sucks big time. Prior to the tune after the cam install my car would want to turn off with any bit of movement. As with your car just turning on the AC was almost a guarantee the car was going to die. But after the tune the car has no problem whatsoever, even after the tune it wanted to die a few times but i guess the computer figured out how to deal with it.

I daily drove the **** out of my TA with the MS3 and PRC heads. I loved every minute of it and she never gave me a single problem

I daily drive my H/C ms3 firebird.

If the thing isn't running correctly it's in the tune. There are TONS of people running this cam or larger as daily drivers.

yeah i daily drive mine (g5x4) right now without a tune and isnt too bad.

I would say get your car re-tuned and dailed in correctly. The person who sold you the car probably just said it was tuned even though it wasnt

I would get the tune redone. I drive my ms4 car everyday that its not raining with no problems, but I dont have AC

It's all in the tune. Get a better tune, someone with a good rep. Personally i am going with the MS4 and it's basically a DD.

i dono but i am about to find out. one of my friends has one in his camaro, and the ac can not be on when he starts it.

With a good tune the car should drive fairly well. You will still see some of the low RPM bucking due to the size of the cam. However, the startup with and without the A/C on should be fine. We have hundreds of customers daily driving this cam without a problem. If your tuner can't get it figured out, mail me the PCM and we can have a mail-order tune done that will get you extremely close to where it needs to be. Feel free to shoot me a PM with any questions!

i have the MS3 and i have DD my car for a while, the ride is pretty good, almost feels like stock! i don't turn on my A/C that much but if and when i do it feels the same... CMS tuned my car pretty damn good you can PM if you have questions Ryne @ CMS

I want to use your ms4 cam plan on possilby doing a ls1 stroked to a 383 100 dry shot using your stroker kit also i will need the pistons to be .5 over what can i expect? my goals are mid to low 10 sec pass in the 1/4 mile 500 rwhp+

your goals are very doable.. i am cam only (ms4) and am right at a mid 11 pass.... im not stroked or anything like that...

power wise, you need a good intake and heads to really compliment it along with low gears and a high stall.. it likes to breath... power wise, im where most people are if not a little faster than most with H/C setups..

i DD mine every single day.. around 60 miles a day... she drives fine.. no bucking, jerking, stalling.. nothing like that.. as long as you have a good tuner you will be fine with that cam, and you will LOVE the results.. i promise....

any questions i didnt answer just let me know..

FWIW.. i made 385/340 with no heads 4000stall and 410s on a dyno that reads 25 low.. so thats a tad bit over 400 through an A4 with no heads.. a friend dynoed his also with a 4000stall and 410s and ms4 but he had prc ls6 heads and he made 430/425..
