Need possible diagnosis after H/C install ........
This only happend 3 times on that day only and never again since the first drive home. I assumed the computer had learned everything and it wouldnt happen again.
Just last week however, I installed the Yella Terra rockers. I only mention them because this is the only thing I have touched on the engine since the H/C install save for a new TB several weeks ago. First drive after installing the YT's - the car acted funny again - temp guage went to zero and car hesitated and surged. I pulled over - it died. Then 30 seconds later it started right back up and drove normally. The following day - the same thing happend again except I wasnt driving. I had started the car up in the AM to let her warm up and after a few minutes I noticed the Temp Guage at "0" again. This time it took several starts to return to normal.
Any ideas? My car hasnt been tuned yet so that might be a culprit - all my fuses look good. I have reset the PCM and that hasnt seemed to help it.
Car runs fine 90% of the time - I just dont like that my temp guage shoots down to zero. The rough ride I could chalk up as a tuning issue - the temp guage I cant write off as easily.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
PS: This is just a guess, something to look at, hopefully someone with some more knowledge will chime in......
As for the ground connection - is there any other symptoms I would be having that would help pinpoint this as a cause? Whats the easiest way to check if this is the problem?
