Default I keep breaking rocker arms

I have a 99 transam. It has a comp cam. 588/581. 224/230. 114lobe sep. With trick flow 215cc heads fast90/90. On dyno it did 465whp 431wtq. It ran out of fuel. 1 week later I put a 255lph pump in and stock GTO injectors in. 100degree day car did 455whp on dynomax power to wheels tour. 20 min later it broke a scorpion 1.7 rocker arm. (#7exhaust). Yesterday on dyno it broke #4 intake rocker. #6 exhaust is cracked.
Are the scorpion rocker arms just that cheep. The place I got them from is willing to give me a new set or exchange them for the harland sharps.
What do I go with????
Should I got to 1.8. Or stay with he 1.7???
Any help is great. Thanks.

I have heard and read that these rockers don't handle the stress very well from the fast ramp cams. If you can get a set for free that's great. I would sell them to somebody with a stock cam.

Same complaint posted here less than two weeks ago, at first I thought you were the same guy making another thread, you are not the only one ditch the scorpions they are known to break, get the harland sharps and be done with it.

Oh and stay 1.7's all the latest cams say do not use with 1.8's. Check out the cam listings on Thunder or Texas Speed says it at the bottom of the cam description.

At one point I was thinking of going with 1.8 rockers and just about everybody I talked to that sold cams said they didn't recommend the higher rocker ratio because of the aggressive lobes on these LS cams. I'm sure some poeple have done it but I didn't want to take the chance of breaking a spring

Im glad you made that choice, I believe the other guy said he was still going to go with scorpions, everyone keeps saying they have been fixed blah blah well if it were me I wouldn't wait around to find out, hopefully we see a positive thread from porsche guy and no more negative.

For what its worth I myself have not seen one negative post on Harland Sharp and also a little bit of interesting info.... Harland Sharp invented the roller rocker, I believe all the way back in the 50's, so they have a lot of years experience in making these rockers. Scorpion may be ok I think they are relatively young??? so they will probably figure it out and get it right

This seems to be happening more and more with the Scorpion rockers. I prefer either Crane or Yella Terra, but if you can't even exchange for them get the HS 1.7's. Personally, I would be very hesitant to re-install the Scorpion's at this point. If you got out of this with no other damage, go with another rocker and don't take the risk.

Not sure if I'm more surprised that you broke 3 of them or that you found an 8 year old thread lol. Either way, good luck and hope it fixes your problem.

Best bet is to run the YT Ultralite latest revision... or to pull the heads and put PM guides and run stock rockers.
