I had a place called "Fastenal" custom make one for me. It took about 10 days to send the order off, have it made, and shipped back to me. I've never had to use it (knock on wood) but got one just in case.

Check your area and see if you have one local to you. Good luck

You had better use a longer than stock bolt to get past the threads you damaged after you chase away the burrs. This doesn't need to happen after all the years this site has been around and hundreds if not thousands of post have been made on this subject by now. I "got in a hurry" is not something you want to do when turning wrenches unless you're in a Top Fuel pit between rounds. You should have read some of the posts that other people have made who have had this same problem as you BEFORE you started to remove the pulley. There is no reason to use hind sight when you have LS1Tech.com at your disposal. Hopefully you will learn from this experience and log on before turning wrenches. By the way that is one beautiful tap. I'd buy one, but I don't think I'll ever have need for it since I always have LS1Tech.com to bail me out.

How bad are the threads? Ive a number of swaps. Only one on a 01 z06 gave me a issue, the threads were slightly jacked up, I was able to use the old bolt to "clean" it out, if yours is destroyed youll need a tap, but those crank threads are pretty strong.

I just greased the old bolt and went a turnin lol. The new bolt went in and out with ease. Its been fine ever since.

By reading the title I was just about to ask if you had started the crank bolt with an impact... ... but nevermind

A quick solution is to groove the stock bolt like a threader and put some grease on it, done it on other things a few times.

But that tool posted above is very nice!
