Default LS7 into an F-body, Headers?

I am having a 440ci LS7 built with some AllPro WCCH LS7 heads w/ a 200 shot to go in to my 2000 T/A. I would like to get some headers from KOOKS.
I am wondering do i need to go with the LS7 style flange?

Something like this?
http://www.byunspeed.com/product_inf...oducts_id=6272

Also what would be the best kind of headers for my car size wise? 2 x 3 1/2? 1 7/8 x 2 x 3 1/2?

Thank You!
-Kenny

I didn't know they had diff style flanges.
I hace a 441 Ls7 and I have the 1 7/8 but if you're going to be spraying I'd go with the 2"

Yes you need LS7 flanges. I just had a set of ARH made to put a LS7 in a C5. The top of the exhaust port may cause you some turbulance.

I really don't think it matters. Looks like "tektrans" Has the regular round-shaped flanges and he's running 9's. lol

If I was spending all that cash on a setup I would want the correct everything. If you already have a set of headers big enough to handle your new setup than yes they will work. But if your going to buy new ones why not get the right part the first time.

I have the LS1 flange on my 1 7/8 to 2 inch stepped and was told by many different respected builders and tuners that it will not matter either way. Hell, I even called Kooks themselves and asked and they told me not to even worry about it because the differance was nil'. You would definately think a company trying to make money by selling you a new product would try to sell ya on the flange change if it was true wouldn't ya??

I am going with the LS7 F-body headers. Because they are made for the "D" port and piece of mind.

Thank You all!

Yeah in my case I had these headers from my previous set up so even if I knew about it, which I didn't until this thread, I wouldn't have changed it if the difference wasn't going to be much at all.
Since your ordering them for your upcoming set up-sure it makes total sense to get the d port flange, there's no reason at all not to.
Good luck with the motor, keep us posted on the results!

ARH doesn't charge more for the flange upgrade.

Sorry I misread, not trying to offend anyone. I was thinking that it was a hundred dollar upgrade from kooks for LS7 flange on a new set.

I actually asked Kooks awhile back and I think they said $175 if I sent my used set into be reflanged but they told me it was a waste of time and money.

We're running All Pro LSW heads with ARH 2" primaries, 3.5 inch collectors and Y to a 4" catback. 4" transition after merge collector in Y.
