Default What spark plugs????????

I just completed my 13:1 compression ls3 build. Needs a 1000miles break in and was wondering what spark plugs should I run during the break in time?? It will be ran on race gas ofcourse. Any suggestions guys???? Give me some favorites.

I like tr6 NGK plugs I run them in my car it only has 10:1 compression but I spray a 200 shot with those plugs and car runs good on them

I was thinking about the TR5's. Not really sure with that kind of compression though. That's really more or less my question.

With that much compression your looking at a BPE7 minimum I would think.

You haven't burned anything up yet? That sure is a pretty hot plug for nitrous.

That is a real hot plug, with 13:1 you are gonna want to step down a few ranges, like a 7 or 8

Agreed, 7 at the mininum, and realistically, probaly an 8

I only plan on putting 1000miles on the motor for break in. They will be in there for only that much. Do you guy's think I should return my TR5's and go with a TR6 or 7?

The TR5 plug is too hot for that much compression..go colder with a 7 and see what they look like ..

No point in going 6's to start out with, unless you like running risk of detonation. I always err on safe /conservative side, and then add or subtract from there. I would start at 7, get a reading, and go up/down from there.
