Why stop there! You can go with our ERL 500 CI LS based short block. We take an LS2, LS3 or LS7 and turn it into 500 inches and with our design it is VERY reliable for the street. We have one of our Turnkey 500 CI in our C5 Corvette that I've been taking across the country. I have over 2000.00 miles on it within the last 2 months and it does great and averages 18 miles per gallon on 93 oct. Our 500 CI short block is 9900.00 out the door with you providing the core and if not you can purchase one of ours outright.
Lightweight, reliable and BIG cubic inches = ERL 500 CI Superedeck 2. Just another option.

What's the max cr you can run with that sb?
I've seen this set up in a mag and on your site but haven't come across any track #'s or dyno #'s for it.

The only one that has this in a racecar right now is S.A.M. and they have run a 10.03 thus far and hope to break into the 9 shortly. The rest of the ones we do are for street application. Ours that we have in our C5 dyno'd 632 hp and 620 ft lbs on our engine dyno and that's with L92 heads, factory LS7 intake and street cam. It's a beast for sure. Here is our engine dyno sheet from our street package.

ERL, you can take a LS7 factory block and turn it into a 500ci monster?? What bore/stroke is that? And you have zero oil burning/overheating issues on the street? If so, you are my next builder when this setup gets old which in my history doesn't take long. The 9900 is a complete shortblock??

~4.2025 bore and ~4.5 stroke = ~500 cubic inches
The $9900 includes:
# Superdeck II sleeving
# New LS Block
# 4.500 stroker crank
# Wiseco pistons
# Billet rods
# Clevite bearings
# Comp cam
# Billet main caps
# Bronze lifter bushings
# ARP MSK
# ARP 1/2 HSK
# Cometic Head gaskets
# Balanced and Blueprinted
# Assembled short block
# Intake Spacer plates
Stay tuned...
I'm putting one in my C6 in about 2 weeks hopefully. Street car, 93 octane, hydraulic roller, etc.
hope to have both engine dyno and chassis dyno numbers

2005 Ford GT - twin turbo
2007 Z06 - heads/cam - bigger motor on the way
2007 S550
your list of toys is already pretty long and now add this...........your going to have a pretty sweet collection of cars.

632 hp sound ok but not stellar for 500 cubes, IMO. At the wheels I'd be impressed.
what cr??
Too bad you guys haven't thrown some good compression, worked heads, intake on the sb, we'd all like to see how that would scream.
We'd all like to see how you got an LS7 intake on the L92 head too, lol

I think their goal was to show that it can be a reliable street setup. They are a machine shop, not a performance shop. I couldn't find anyone that had done what I/you wanted to see so I decided to take the plunge myself.
I am putting ported LS7 heads, LSX-R intake, 102mm TB, 2" headers, etc on mine. Hoping for 800hp on the engine dyno.

Now we're talkin'!! Still I think they should have put it to the test on their own, they should give you the bottom end for cost if you're gonna be the guinea pig.
what cr are you shooting for? 800 horse on pump gas right? that would be sweet.

Yes it is. 650 is on the low end of what I'm hoping for. I think the LSX-R is still going to be a huge bottleneck...it was maxed out on my heads/cam setup. I would like to trap 142+ NA and then maybe a little nitrous down the line.

Probably not all that custom; poor choice of words on my part. I think it was longer pushrods for the tall deck, some custom lifters, and a modified Yella Terra rocker set or something like that.
I was quoted $3250 for everything in addition to the $9900 for the complete shortblock + cam, etc.
