You will actually be going backwards going to an LS2 Intake Manifold. The LS6 actually flows better than and LS2. The LS2 intake is probably the worst intake GM made.. ok ok.. other than the LT1..

Go with the LS6...

Others may chime in to help with this...

Normally a seven hp increase in the high (6000+ rpm) range over a ls-1 . hardly no one upgrades to the ls-2 that's why your response is so limited.

ive never heard of anyone putting an ls2 on an ls1, thought it was a no brainer to do ls6. i wouldnt waste your time and buy an ls6 for 300 bucks.

You'll need the cross-over pipe and plugs for this swap.

i have had the ls2 intake for months now.......it is fully ported and flows MORE and performs BETTER than a stock ls6 intake. i have installed the intake and car is running very good. the coolant tube did hit so i had to change it. one of the reasons i went with the ls2 intake is...1) because it was ported and i got a really good deal on it. 2) i dont like how the ls6 intake looks on the top near the throttle body, so it was a personal preference thing. i do understand that the ls6 intake is better stock to stock but mine is ported and flowes better than the ls6. now sure i could have got a ls6 intake for 350.00, sent it to get ported, had the 90mm mod done to it and been a killer intake but then i should have just bought a fast at that point. so, thanks for the replies guys.....
