I cant give you an exact number...but the compressor is pretty dang heavy...and of course you lose a little more with the rest of the parts...If you dont use it, I would certainly take it out...

No..that was for the AC compressor...

Anything that looks like its not doing anything anymore...remove.

took mine off... and front sway bar...and the front bumper.. with an slp lid, and magnaflow exhaust I ran a 13.0 @ 108 with a 1.9 60 ft... I think the ac part of it helped ALOT stock it ran 13.8... after removing the ac and catback I was running 13.1 13.2s.... Also If im not going drive it in the rain, why would I drive it in 100 degree weather? Only take it out when its nice, t tops off, perfect.

you take off AC and have a 13 second racecar, I'll agree with caveman. There are 9 second, true "daily drivers" around here that impress me, cold AC, sits and idles in traffic with good street manners, and a system with a subwoofer.

if it is broken, that's one thing, but to remove a good system, for weight savings at that power level is nothing that I would do. But im going to get into my lsx daily driver to go to work. Current weather status is:

78 degrees
97% humidity
30.07 baro
77 degree dew point

Certainly not fun weather to drive a car without AC, even just to remove the humidity.

what nobody has seemed to mention yet is that with the ac out of the way it opens up some nice room to work under the hood. i personally never used it and i like to do my own work so pulling it was a no-brainer for me

My compressor started screeching so I pulled the system. I'm good, but I'd have never done it if I realized how much bitching my girlfriend would do as she's having heat strokes in the passenger seat.

pulling the whole hvac system including heater box clears up a lot of room, the normal ac is not that much in the way.

Yes it's true.

As far as the room factor.. I can do 13 min Plug Changes..

Then again I have other mods to help like the re-located Heater Lines.
