Default LSXRT test ?

Has anyone tested the LSXRT 102mm intake manifold yet ? I'd like to try one on my car but would also like to see if it makes any power.

That intake is more directed at truck engines I think. Just the low profile LSXR 102 should be what you want if you are running a car engine in a car.

The intake is the only way I can run a 102mm tb without buying new heads or a sheetmetal intake. I think the longer runners will help also.

Default Lsxrt

I have mine installed and test drove the truck from Medford Oregon to LA to ship the truck to Germany. I did not dyno the truck with and without the LSXRT. It was a new engine, and I just had to have the intake. I went with a 90mm LS7 TB off of a Corvette because it was ETC. It looks nice, swells and contracts when you rev the engine, and draws a crowd when you pop the hood. The engine runs very strong. My Dad did the installation, and used some of the lines from the stock injection to connect the FAST regulator to the stock fuel lines.LSXRT test ?-pc240913.jpgLSXRT test ?-pc240887.jpg

Sounds as tho this manifold needs more development......we had a
prototype crossram manifold that deflected as described due to
change in manifold vacuum.

The greatest forces are on idle when there is nearly full vacuum ~14psi (imagine a 14lb load applied to every square inch of the plenum). On full throttle, the vacuum is released and the manifold will revert to its normal shape.

That CAN'T be good. If it is flexing then eventually that hard plastic will break.

After looking closer at the FAST90 I have in the shop here I cant see how this thing is flexing.. I know its taller but they would have had to really make the plastic thinner for it to flex.

My first impression was like, hmm is that the equivalent to a tunnel ram manifold (at least that's what an old school hotrodder would have said)? I'd love to see some flow data on it.
