I have a 600 lift cam with matched springs what is wrong with using stock rockers Im also spraying 175 shot of n20
Stock rockers will be fine. If you are worried you can always to the Comp trunion upgrade. Also, unless the lifters have a ton of miles on it, you should be able to reuse them unless they are already giving you cause for concern. You have to pull the heads to replace the lifters so if they are good and a head swap isn't in the cards right now, I say run the stock ones!

lifters I have new comp adjustable rockers now, but this is a complete rebuild crank bearings cam ect. This is a drag racing only engine that i'm going to be spraying n20 every pass. Was basically wondering why people replace them, My cam is right at 600 lift. My buddie on his old school 350 tried to run stock rollers with his 550 lift cam and they caused the valves to float at 3000 rpms. We took the lifters apart and put an stainless washers in place of the hydraulic mechanism wich made the lifters solid and that fixed the floating problem. So basically will the ls lifter do the same thing as the gen I sbc stock roller lifters

Problem with the stock lifters is GM shitty quality control. Friend of mine just had a lifter fail and take out the cam in his wifes BONE STOCK 06 TBSS!! Out of warranty by about 6k miles.
