Ly6 vvt 6.0

Which years came with AFM? I'm in the market and want to avoid the extra hassle of it. What year make and model do I look for? I've found one from a 2007 Chevy Silverado Vin K option code LY6. Is this what I'm looking for.

I dont know what ones do and what ones dont, except for looking at the valley cover.

Smooth = NO AFM
Bumpy = AFM

Ok I think I may have found out. The LY6 that doesn't have AFM is 2007-present, and is an iron block. If its 2007-present and has an aluminum block then its RPO Code L76 with AFM and VVT, not to be confused with the L76 car version?? If it came out of a truck that is. I sourced this info from my LSX rebuild book. Both motors are 6.0L. Please correct me if I'm wrong..

LY6 has L92 heads, VVT and does NOT have AFM. I have just finished doing the research and can confirm this. I bought 1 for myself, and am now getting it ready to fit into my 67 camaro
