I have just bought a set of Kinslers for mine today, 8x 55mm bodies of a race car that was banned cos it was too fast!! Mine are the straight down ones no the cross overs, £1500 i had to have them, i am fed up of the shunting from my big cam but did not want to come down on duration.

I'll post back to back over my FAST with a NW 90mm.

Hey Christian,

I'm definitely interested if they make GOOD power and are sustainable on a street car. I don't want to get into a Weber deal I had on a BMW years ago. If you wanted it to run all day you tuned them in the morning. If you wanted it to start the next morning - you turned them the night before.

If they can be setup and last a season of street driving and they meet the other criteria, I'm definitely interested. I run an MCM hood (not the blower hood) so I do have a little more room.

Hi Kevin,

Funny you mention that...ITB's seem "new and sexy" for some of the younger members here...but, I remember the Renault 8 Gordini of my Dad in 1968 while he was racing his four cylinders two twin jeted Weber Carburator...and was still using it as daily driver!!!!
That was already a pure ITB...

And I remember as well as a kid those "ITB's" having those soooooo sexy sounds revving to 8200rpm the 145 FWHP of this 1370 cc!!!!

Nothing realy new nowadays, except I still dont see an ITB as DD for a C5...

Shawn, can you give us a little more detail about the car like displacement/cam/heads/horsepower and torque?

Shawn,

I appreciate the effort to set-up those ITB's by VA Speed....But that's far away from what I want still...

My engine's IAT would be in the 140*F most of the time at least when driving hard here around ext temp in the low 90's with your set-up in those pictures above...I guess, but you know certainly.

Not yet acceptable for someone spending a noticeable amount of money to get power from his engine...

FYI, my engine IAT is ambiant as soon as I go WOT...
I intent to keep it this way.

Keep on your effort to set-up something making sense...to me...
Many thanks

Christian

Thanks Shawn,

Is this the road race setup? What hood???

It would be interesting to know the numbers both with and without the filters. The engine still looks very odd to the eye without the TB sticking out the front.

If they're proven and they come out with ones for the L92/LS3 heads, my car may winter at the Beach again next year.

The above setup was mainly for driveabilty and the cool factor with power being pretty much the last priority.

ls2 402 with a set of mildly ports 243's
low 230's cam

this car is an auto car with a stock tq converter-so it idles pretty much just like stock-put down 460rwhp and 430tq thru an unlocked converter.

car is really fun to drive-the throttle response is incredible.

Kevin,no,this is not the road race engine. Here is a pic of the hood

speaking of the roadrace motor-here is a couple pics of a 427 we did with the itb's.

quick rundown

427-4.125 bore,4.00 stroke
callies magnum crank
oliver billet rods
custom je pistons-11-1 comprssion
PI 275cc cathedral port heads
custom solid roller car-just over .600 lift

the engine is built for endurance-everything is very mild for longevity.
made 720fwhp at 7100rpm

i used a factory computer for my setup. it's not hard to tune since it samples all runners onto a common vac rail for the MAP sensor.

What location do you use for the IAT Sensor?
