Not sure if you would call this an "elbow"
I was looking up Accufab carb TB's and came across this "elbow," but it is not really an elbow. Is anyone running these?
I am wondering how much of a benefit these are over the true style elbows. I am going with a carb intake and would rather keep the traditional TB over a carb type TB, but not if it is going to rob me of a **** load of power.
BTW - I am running a VFN 5" Ram Aim cowl hood so that won't be an issue

No, I was just interested in the elbow I posted because of the lack of a bend that seems to rob the setup of HP. Since an elbow with that same type of angle is not made for out carb'ed intakes, I guess I will use a 4150.
I just like it for the lack of "elbow" and was thinking that it would be more efficient than a 90* or whatever degree elbow that most here use.

Dude-forget that thing.
What heads are you running? Get yourself a nice Carey's intake, big a spacer as you can fit and a carb style throttle body.
The way the throttle body is mounted on that "elbow" (where the cable would pull the blade open) looks to me like it just bends the tb to clear something. It's not meant to be mounted like it's pictured.
HOWEVER, the lack of a severe bend, like a true elbow, would benefit the incoming airflow with the straighter path BUT it really doesn't matter because it's not meant to be mounted the way you're thinking and there's much better stuff out there.
You'd be a NUT to run an elbow with a friggin' 5" hood
You got the space-USE IT!!!!!!!!
