Default c6 exhaust questions

Hello,

My brother has a 2005 c6 manual and picked up a set of dual mode factory mufflers. They have the switch that opens and closes. They look to be a direct bolt on. Can anyone tell me what I will need or if there are any tricks? it looks like there is an air tube that needs to be hooked up to something?

Also, He was givin a factory x pipe. I thought he already had an x pipe but they said some came with an H pipe so we took it as well. can anyone tell me if it is an X or H pipe in 2005? before i crawl under it?

Thanks!

Jeff

Mine had an H-pipe and believe all did. You may look into "mild to wild" to install a switch to control the exhUst valves.

It has an h pipe. The air hose is a vacuum hose that attaches to the back of the manifold. Be careful the nipple is delicate. Like stated above look into a mild to wild. They are awesome.
