Default Fast 90/90 VS Vic Jr

I have done some searching but haven't found a good answer. I have a ls2 402 with the following components.

11.5 to 1 pump gas
PRC stage 3 ls6 heads
Texas giant
Fast 90/90
Speed density tuned

My car runs good but I'm looking for a little more power on the top end. My car rolls over at 6,200rpms and I have heard that is probably due to the unported fast intake. Would the vic jr with a good elbow give me anything or would it be a waste of time and money. Would it be better to just port my fast intake? With a little weight reduction and a little power I might be able to dip down close to 10.0 without spraying it so I'm looking for ideas. Thanks

From what I gathered (Im doing a similiar build to you), the Vic makes more up top than the FAST, but sacrifices some low end grunt. Where the FAST, gives you a little bit of both. If you plan on staying NA, I would say just port the FAST. Theres aways a ported 102 if the ported 90 isnt enough.

Any other opinions? I talked to TSP today and they think the Vic jr with a good elbow might pick up a tenth or two. I would love to get my car to run a 9.99 NA.

Do you drive it on the street at all? If so, stick with the FAST. You will usually loose a noticable amount down low switching to a Victor intake.

I drive it on the street about 1k-2k miles a year. I don't think losing a little bottom end will bother me that much but I could be wrong. I have a ss4000 stall that stalls quite a bit higher with the 402. It never drops below 5900rpms when I stick my foot in it so that might keep me from noticing the loss down low.

If I could pick up 1-2 tenths by switching to a vic jr than it would put me really close to that magic 9.99 on motor.

My motor is quite a bit smaller at 347ci but im pulling my FAST 92 off and just bought a Victor Jr. Im not running an elbow, im going to pick up an accufab 4150 and run that but I assume you want to stay under the hood and thats why your thinking about the elbow. I am switching because my motor was in a street car but now its going into a drag only car and id like to put the FAST on my LS2 going into the vette.

Alot like yours though my motor drops off around 6200 with the fast

What are the differences between the Victor Jr and the Super Victor? How tall are they?

Porting might be the cheapest solution if you can do it yourself.

You should switch cams if you are going to change manifolds etc. They take different grinds do to the there vast differences. Just telling what Ed at FTI told me when I wanted to change in mid build.
