Default which heads to use on my 427

hi guys

i can not make up my mind on which heads to use . any help would be great than you.

the details are as follows

ls6 block darton sleeves 4:125 bore
je forged pistons 4:125
callies crank 4"stroke
scat rods 6:125 lentgh
we will be running close to 14:5 to 1 compression and running on e95 special blend fuel.
intake dosn't worry me as i want to tunnel ram it so i will probably have to custom make one anyway.
i was looking at the all pro or the mast motorsport black label heads or even the lsx dr style heads . what do you guys think ?
oh i forgot no cam specs yet i i havn't bought the cam until i get the heads

Get the wrenches out Kevin! The Brodix head is not vaporware. We have 2 programs built for them. One is a 2.20" 265cc runner based on our Stage 2 LS7 program. The other program uses a 2.250" 277cc program and flows close to 410cfm @ .700" lift.

For the OP I might suggest looking at our new All Pro LSW -2 Race head. We have two programs the larger of which flows over 440cfm. More info can be found here: All Pro LSW -2 Race head. All Pro also has a cast 4bbl intake to fit these new heads. It will be available in cast or CNC finish.

The Brodix heads have oem geometry on all major features such as manifold flanges and rocker pedestals. They are not a "6 bolt" head however. Stock manifolding will bolt right up. As will stock LS7 rockers. Basically they're a beefed up factory casting. They have significantly more metal in them than the LSX series heads. I'll try to get up a few pictures of a pair we're currently working on.
Stay tuned...........

Its a budget decision, how much do you want to spend on them?
You can drop close to 10k on heads if you want but what kind of power are you looking for and how many rpm are you going to run. Lots to consider when looking at heads.

yes you are right . i looking for a head that can take 750" lift and with a max rev limit of no higher then 7000 or 7500rpm my budget is about $5000 not including rocker gear. the hardest thing is trying to find the CSA of the head ,everybody quaotes flow figuers but i need to know the CSA so we don't loose air speed in the head. i think with the motor i have in mind i will be looking at either allpro or mast motor sports if i can get it to fit in my budget .frieght its a killer as well trying to get things brought over to australia . but the U.S.A just has way more range.

thank you everybody for there help on this topic.
