Default Holley valve covers.....which coils??

I was looking at the Holley valve covers and I was wondering if anybody knew what coils they would fit. It says ls3 style with 72mm bolt spacing, but I need to run truck coils for my efi system. Does truck coils have the same bolt spacing as ls3 coils??

http://holley.com/241-91.asp

Has anybody used these valve covers before?

there brand new to the market so you probably wont find to many people using them yet.

why do you have to use truck coils? makes no sense to me you should be able to swap them at will, even if the pins are different you can splice the ends of the harness to each coil to accept any type

I will deff give these a try..........My rockers will fit under stock valve cover with the baffles removed, so maybe these will fit with the baffle. It never does say if they offer more clearance than stock.

The LS1 coils and D585 truck coils are not going to work with these covers. The LS1's have slightly less bolt spacing for the holes, and the D585 coils have a completely different mounting pattern which you will need the bracket to come with, and those will not bolt to the Holley's.

Need to find LS2, 3, 7 coils with 72mm bolt spacing.

well i ordered a set back when then came out the first week of october, still waiting on them to come in. Holley apparently makes them as the orders come because they dont keep a supply on hand, thats at least what i was told. and i will let you know how i have to mod these to work with LS1 coils. Because when i ordered them i thought they worked with all LS coils, but i misread that one. So on that note, i guess i will find out if i can make them work with LS1 coils!

If you can elongate the mounting holes about 3.5mm for each the top and bottom hole you might be able get it to fit. Stock LS1 coil bolt spacing is 65.2mm. The ones needed at 72mm. Good luck.

why wouldn't the truck coils mount up, now that I notice in the photo above that they are also 72mm spacing?

...and what would I do with my pcv valve since on my truck it is in the back of the driver's side cover and there is no opening for it on these?
Could I run one of the external ones from the early ls's?

huh, ok, yeah I forgot about the different mounting style of the d585 truck coils

I'd have to figure out how to modify pcv too?

where did you order them from, if you don't mind me asking... I've been looking at teamc website, at either “as cast“, or satin... Saw a recommend for them on corvetteforum and the prices are very cheap!
But I hear these covers are taking awhile to get out to distributors...?

Please post up photos of yours when you receive them! I'd like to see the underside.

I just ordered from a site name that rhymes with Kegs with a bunch of other ****. They were $149.99. I don't know how long they take but I'm not really worried about it because I am deployed at the moment for another 3-4 months yet lol.
