Well I got mine yesterday the wife said. Took pics and all. I will post those later when I have access to photobucket. It looks like these covers are removable without removing the coils so that will be a nice thing. Or undo one of the coil bolts and rotate them would work too.

I'm curious to see what the underside/baffles look like on these...
Still wondering how I might hook these up to a truck pcv system too?

Hey djfury, did you go to UofM?

Sammy your stock harness should still work. The pinouts are the same so I don't see how it wouldn't work.

Shredsled, if you go on to Holley's site they have some pics of the baffles underneath. As for your PCV system I'm sure if you couldn't figure out a way to pull the vacuum from the valve covers you could run an LS6 style valley cover with the vent hose on the front of it.

And no I didn't go to UofM, I joined the Marines instead lol.

Ok after doing some more research it appears you will need a different harness to run these coils since the terminals in the LS1 coils are flat and looks like the terminals in the ones I got are round. So I am getting the harnesses as well just in case. The new harness will plug in the coils correctly and it is the same connection to the coil main pack connector (4 to 1) across the board for coil harnesses (hope that makes sense).

just a quick bump, wondering if anyone has tried these with truck coils yet?

I double checked on all of the coil packs I have, and yeah, pretty sure if you have the higher powered 585 coils with the heat sink your only option would be a custom mount bracket, which would have to make you wonder why you got these covers in the first place since it would no longer be direct mount, haha... but, looking at my other square truck coils, they may actually fit good.

...not to knock on your idea, but that seems redundant to me. Is there any reason you would want these if you use fuel rail covers?

Well I am building a show/driver so details are important. You can still see the valve covers even with the rail covers.

Ok just did my first plug change with these new valve covers and coils.. what a pain in the ****** dick lol.. At least on the passenger side. Driver side was fine because I have no ABS now. Passenger side was another story. The mounting bosses for the coils stick out further so be prepared to get your arms scratched. I got bigger headers on now ARH 1 7/8th so I had to do #8 from underneath which wasn't too bad.

seeing the covers is not the end of the world if they look like these do. cover the stockers? yes. you could easily pull off not covering these. otherwise, what's the point?
