new intake manifold

I plan to do a lq4/9 build and throw a set of l92 heads on the motor. would that intake work for those heads? Its just a thought, but I saw it in the new products for the 5th gens, and it honestly looks like a pretty nasty set up. Also, would it fit under a 4th gens cowl? thanks for any responses

I have not, that's why I'm asking. I'm still in college, but will be graduating soon so I can start putting my expenses towards the car. Just wanting to get as much information on a motor build before I start throwing money around. I would love to do a different intake than a FAST like everyone else is running without spending huge money on a custom one off piece like LPE 403 is doing for his build. Albeit, there isn't a price on this yet either...

other than tuning and running and custom air intake setup, which I would like to do anyways, what else would need to be done to make this setup work. it just has me very curious and it honestly looks like an awesome future production piece

So you would have to run tubing from both openings on each side, into one large merge hose, then have a TB on that one opening, then that tube going to the lid....to make it work. Otherwise you would have to make have TB's and two of each of all those items listed above.
It would be pretty cool and I think thats exactly the type of intake our cars need (F-Bodys), just like the Vipers have. Because all the plastic style intakes we have are horsepower killing intakes.
Let us know when you get a price from those guys...I'm curious.

those last one's you listed, where do they fit the throttle body. they looks extremely interesting. At 6500 for the one originally listed, hahahahah I would just go custom at the point. However, if it were cheaper with a dual throttle body setup, i think a custom 1 into 2 split would work. there wouldn't be a need for another throttle body to step into 2 separate ones.....at least i don't think there would be...
if this setup really is that expensive, i think it will be a while before any results are seen, however, this ls3 with a cam produced 478 rwhp. the cam specs are not given, but the video doesn't seem to make the cam to be too aggressive

same car different view ^^^

The one I posted is an ITB setup. You have 8 52 or 55mm TBs to work with, you can run a filter off each or they have covers for each side that have inlets on the front to put 2 filters on. Or you can run tubing off each side into a lid, I've seen that done. Each intake runner becomes its own plenum. So no possible combo can outflow it in theory

I saw that at the SEMA show this year. Nice looking all carbon, not sure if I could afford it though. I'd like to try it and see how much the gains are for my set up.

They did the same setup in that video that I would. One TB is the master and the other a slave, just make a linkage that sync's them, not too hard, and that give you your IAC and TPS. The MAF and IAT could be put into the merge pipe before it splits to the 2 seperate TB's.

would there be a benefit in running 2 MAF's and 2 IAT's? or would running a merge be the best bet? I really wish these were being produced and bought all ready, I would love to see the results and different setups these would allow for

I think 2 MAF's and IAT's would be a headache, you would have to figure out how to either half the voltage to each one so the reading would come out right going to the pcm or, double the pcm's parameters. Either way sounds sucky but, someone may know something I do not.

They have a set up to fit under a F-Body cowl? for the love of god why hasn't someone made a intake that fits and rocks w the right runner length?!?!
This dual Plenum idea is prob how its gonna have to be done but the price is way outta reach for most, so in order to really sell these, price it just above a Fast that out performs it and bam..... watch the $$$$$$ roll in lol

Talked to Jamie (owner) and quoted me $4500 (show price) when I was at SEMA....obviously dont need one but was curious. Based on his willingness to sell them, I assumed he was ready to ship them as ordered. Really didnt ask about comparisons to stock or FAST intakes.
Holley/Jenvey intake should fit under the fbody cowl. Mine should fit as well....maybe with a minor cowl tweak. Will know as soon as we finish up cam #3

LPE, are you saying there is a possibility you will be putting down even more than 803 horsepower when this is all said and done?
4500 might be a little too pricey, but it would still be interesting to see what kind of numbers the dual plenum intakes will make on these motors. I'm assuming the bigger the motor the more effective these intakes will be?
