Fixed it, Tore it all apart, Gears looked great and rotated without issues, I then looked at the wiring of the motor and saw that the insulation of both wires was cracked where it wraps around the motor and is ziptied so it must have been shorting to the body of the motor I wrapped the cracks and it works so hoping it was the wiring all along.

The guy sales the nice piece but his customer service sucks. I can't believe he is still in business.

I couldn't help it... this is one of the most classic comments ever written on Tech. Great one liner.

I miss my DMH cutout, but I don't miss the customer service. There's definitely a problem with how he's running things. Thanks for the update OP. Keep us posted on the results.

I think I'm going to do some more testing on mine and might take it apart and find out whats wrong with it.

They are pretty easy to take apart. Hardest part its drilling the heads off the rivets then pushing them through everything is just bolted together. Not much to them either just motor to an array of gears for speed reduction and hi tq then the plate.

I tried to get a DMH but he was apparently in the hospital when i tried so I had to get a QTP. But I do love my QTP and if anything ever goes wrong with it just send it to them and pay them 30 bucks.

I called this guy one time after calling speedinc for a return on my cutout. They said they are having trouble getting ahold of him but if you do goodluck. So I called later that day and on the second try he answered, was real nice and said to send it to him and he will have it fixed and back in the mail to me within one day. I said oh great news!

Boy was I mislead, I waited a week for my coutout to arrive and it never did. I then began calling at least one time per day. I have not had anyone answer one single time since and this was over a month ago. This guy is worse that RMCR! I am going to get a QTP and not recommend anyone even try to get a DMH cutout.

I really like the dougs cutout. I think I might try that if I ever turbo my truck and have a large single pipe instead of my duals. Didnt have room to fit the dougs with my current dual 3" pipes running beside each other.

I failed inpection here in Virginia for the first time because of the cutouts. Never had a problem before and I've had them on for 6 years. I can't find the rectangular block off plates that came with them so if anybody has a set of the block off plates for the low profile DMH cutouts that they're not using and want to sell them...let me know.

BUMP - I reccomended these cutouts to a friend over QTP due to the "WARRANTY". After only a few weeks, one cutout has failed and he desperately needs warranty work - or at a VERY minimum to speak with somebody from DMH.

We have BOTH put countless emails and calls to DMH with absolutley no response.

What options do we have?

I tore into mine and fixed it myself. What do you have to lose? Still working strong.
