exhaust for large displacement?
im planning a LS7 441 CI motor for my SS soon. im wanting to know what you guys with large displacement motors are running for exhaust. i have a 3" GMMG catback now and im worried it wont be enough to support 441CI. im thinking of picking up the kooks true duals system. but i dont wana sacrifice ground clearance if i dont have to. well, let me know whats up.
thanks guys

The headers fit great.....have a UMI K which helped. The exhaust needed some tweaking. 2" headers have 3 1/2" collector and needed the inlet side of the exhaust system opened up to fit. Had separate issues with fitment of the TDs but it all worked out fine.

Does it really though? Meet the flow criteria that is. I have since wondered if it would choke up my 13:8 to 1 445 or not. I have dual cutouts right now but the weight of all this under there is extreme believe it or not. So i was contemplating the Kooks TD and there doesn't seem to be many results out there

Lol....unquantified statement on my part, but we can't get 4" duals under there sooooooo...... Hope to spin mine with and without the exhaust connected in the next month, so we'll see.

Kooks claims it will support 1200 horse power. Only system to have if you don't want dumps and run big cubes. If you have access to a lift it makes the install go pretty well, although s=after a few heat cycles it will need some readjustment.

thanks for all the info. i bet those 2" collectors are a tight fit. so i guess im picking up some products from kooks unless i decide a 4" single is the way to go......nah! 3" duals will do.
