Default PRC Heads and Comp Pushrods - Used *Pics*

Hey guys.

I've never had an issue with used items before but i am not sure what direction to go in. I bought these heads off of another member here but when they got to me the packaging was really really bad on them and I am now MISSING 3 pushrods and a DENTED head.

*Plus this person said he would have them cleaned but didn't and they are completely covered in oil and dirt and debris all over the springs. Including massive build up of carbon on the valves.. which leads me to believe that they were not used less than 6k miles. Pretty pissed off, but whatever. Trying to see what I can salvage and work

Nevertheless.... some push-rods are scratched and one of the heads are dented...

So should I go forward and clean them up myself and get new push-rods, think I will be alright??? next step? can I use a scratched push-rod?

The dent is no problem, I'd get them apart and to a shop that can check for cracks and look at the decks.

Agreed^ Dents wont be an issue. Just get them checked internally.

Cool. Going to take them to a local machine shop, get them checked out and cleaned. Now I gotta find 3 individual pushrods because it will take USPS months to reimburse me for lost parts.

It's like USPS doesn't want people to use them for shipping. I just went through a similar issue. I learned my lesson, though. I should have packaged better but tey must have really kicked that stuff around. I think they were pissed because I used a flat rate box to ship a heavy item. They can go under for all I care.

Nothing wrong with the head, or the pushrod. I'd run it.
