Question The Best Harmonic Damper

I want to get feedback on harmonic dampers based upon experience.

The application is a LS3-430 CI road race engine. Expected operating range is 3-8,000 RPM.

Between the two dampers, which is better and why?

ATI Super Damper 10% Underdrive, Elastomer bands
-- OR --
FluidAmpr 10% Underdrive, Silicone Fluid

Both are SFI 18.1 certified
FluidAmpr is ISO 9001:2008 certified

A poll is attached to this thread for easy feedback.

I'm asking for people with experience using the dampers. Apparently you do not have that experience.

All those old threads have been vetted.

Have you used an Innovators West damper? Probably not. Have you had any of your dampers to 8,000 RPM? Probably not. Do you even own either of the dampers? Probably not.

So, maybe you should keep your useless comments to yourself.

I've had a Fluidampr 10% #720102 on my LS1 for a little over 4yrs(1.5yrs w/stock engine) and I did notice a decrease in engine vibration over the SLP 25% it replace, an this was with stock(rubber) motor mounts and stock cam at the time. I only spin my motor to 6500rpm, but have done so at least once every week for the last 2yrs. I've had no negative issues at all with it since first installing it.
I can't comment on the ATI, never had one.

Lol....I see, you're one those "need to be spoon fed" guys. Well if you read any of those threads....specifically the first one....lmao, with posts from only a few days ago, a fluidampr rep chimes in. Too much effort required on your part apparently. In the second thread, some good info in why ATI is the best (hint, NHRA). Again, probably too much effort so you'll never find out.

FYI...those links didnt work, so I'm not sure how you could have opened them. In order to my statement above...

As far as what I use? Hate to sound like a broken record, but if you did some reading...."I've done stuff"

Btw, this road track car you're building. You going to build and drive it? FYI, it's going to require some effort.

LPE 403 Has given you the best links of 2 good threads that we discussed these dampers in.
Instead of getting your back up, you should be thanking him.

I would not go undersized

The extra stroke and intended rpm it needs all the help it can get. Also prob need a stiffer rubber in it.
