Would 4l60 work with an ls1?

I have a 4l60 transmission out of a 96 Camaro. I was wondering if it would replace my 4l60e in my 2001 firebird formula (ls1). If so, are there any other parts that I'd need?

Yes, a TCI #399753 flex plate is all thats needed. Same flex plate is also used to swap in both the TH350 and TH400. Give TCI a call to confirm.

I was also wondering if everything would match properly. I heard something about a checking to see if the pcm would be compatible. Also, would i need to do anything as far as wiring? I know the 4l60e is electronically controlled, but would the 4l60 shift without the ecm?

If the 4L60 is not a PWM transmission, it probably WON'T work.
