Oil cooler needed?

Trying to figure out if i need a oil cooler on my LSX TT that will mostly be street driven with maybe some 1/4 passes i know lots of guys dont run them unless they are pushing the car hard for long periods.

Probably not unless you're towing or road racing. But hook up an oil temp gauge if you're worried.

Cooler the better.....so just install one. It can only prolong ALL engine components by running cooler. But dont run too cool.....lol

Im putting one on my 100% street car down in South Florida.

Just run a thermostatic bypass. It will keep it in the right range so you don't have to worry about it. Improved racing makes some nice ones

Yes I have read the turbos heat the oil up quite a bit but also you dont want the oil to cool so the Improved thermostatic bypass might be the ticket!

I assure you 1 oil cooler will not cool your oil down to dangerous levels with a twin turbo V8. Save your money and buy a gauge before you do anything.

I have to got to to the electronics part of the build but it will have a full spectrum of gauges! I'm just trying to pre-plan for parts i need to allow for.
