Not at this time. Though these headers will work in an '04 GTO, the '04 has a one year only set up. The '05-'06 GTO's have a specific dual exhaust and the connection pipes we have are designed to bolt directly to the factory dual exhaust mid pipes for those two years. To run these in an '04 you would have to have an exhaust shop fab up connection pipes or switch to the dual exhaust system of an '05-'06 model.

They are super nice for the price... 2004 GTO people could run 05-06 pipes, but need to cut the rear bumper for another exhaust outlet and weld on hangers.

 

In our experience, the '04 GTO crowd typically go with the '05-'06 style exhaust anyways. Even Pacesetter stopped selling their connection pipes for the '04 a while back ago because of that same reason.

Maybe Pacesetter stopped selling the y-pipe for GTOs because it wouldn't fit with any exhaust setup out there (short of a custom one). That may be because GTOs don't have y-pipes...

2004 GTO crowd do not flock to the 05-06 exhaust at all. Weird comment to make.

 

No, as of right now we only plan to offer the one connection pipe setup. If you wanted to run the headers with the early exhaust then you would have to have connection pipes made.

 

Or another manufacturer.

Logic problem:

Manufacturer spends money to develop a header for a car whose maximum production was 43,xxx or so but only develops midpipes(you know simple bent tubing) for 25,xxx alienating 17,xxx or so possible buyers. (less total losses)

Then manufacturer provides clearly erroneous information when indicating why it is so.

 

We sold the Pacesetter's for the GTO's previously. We looked at sales and made a calculated decision as to what was profitable. Even Pacesetter dropped selling the '04 midpipes. We do not make them in house. We have to have them made in large quantities to make the price for building/shipping them worth it and see a profit. I know this does not help your dilemma. I wished we could make a system for every LS equipped vehicle out there but unfortunately that is not feasible. This is something that any local exhaust shop should be able to fab up for those wishing to connect to an '04 system. In the end we are offering full long tube headers, made of 304 stainless steel with seamless tubing at an extremely reasonable price. Even if you must pay an exhaust shop to fab mid pipes you will still be way under the cost of other popular systems in mild steel. Not to mention the ones made in stainless.

According to Pacesetter's own website they do offer off road pipes. They originally did not make off road pipes when the first version of their headers was introduced. But started after market demand:

Hmm, that's interesting. We were unaware that they came out with connection pipes on their newest version. I'll pass the info along. Though still, if you look at the price for ceramic coated mild steel headers with connection pipes, our 304 stainless steel headers with a high velocity merge and seamless tubing is half the cost. It's up to you to decide which option is best for you. We will look into into it, as nothing is set in stone, but it isn't something we are looking to mass produce at this time. They are selling very well as it is even without connection pipes. That tells us we still have many '04 customers that are willing to have connection pipes fabbed up at that price point. It would be nice though!

How would you know your buyers are 2004 owners? Based on your two earlier posting errors above I doubt you are being accurate with that comment.

 

At this time, we have absolutely no intention of making the early connection pipes. I'm sorry if that deters you or anyone from buying our headers. We made the headers and connection pipes for what we find to be the largest demand based on our own sales and calls. Guys can make the headers work on the earlier cars. With a little bit of work, they will still end up with a great header at a lesser cost than some of the more expensive brands. If that work isn't for you I completely understand, but that's all we have to offer at this moment.

 

Boo Hoo! Oh, woe is me! A vendor is offering a set of bad *** stainless headers but no connection pipe. Let me bash them & try to make them think hordes of us demand a connection pipe or we will spend double to get mild steel headers that will have flaking ceramic coating in a year & not look near as good.....yeah that'll show them!

How much of a cheap/cry baby can you be? They're $400! Sack up & spend $50 at your muffler shop to get them made.
