Default Serpentine belt system

I have a LS3 in my 1980 corvette. I keep throwing belts. Been flatbedded four times. My wife won't go anymore. What serpentine system would work best for me. Like there is Holly and March and mine is from Street and Performance. It' doesn't have a belt tensioner for one thing. What would fit and work so I don't have to be flatbedded any more? I have a/c, power steering and alternator.

Why not properly diagnose your current problem? It'll be an easy, cheap fix compared to an aftermarket setup...

I'm also curious why you are throwing belts. What system is on it now?

I don't know why they didn't put a belt tensioner on when they did the conversion for me. Seems like they should as I understand all the C6 corvettes with the LS3 have belt tensioners. It is from Street and Performance. The brackets to hold the A/C and Alternator tight is just a rod that goes out to them and tightens taught. My belt appears to be climbing up on the front pulley face on the A/C as there is rubber left there and then must come taught and brakes the fasten point on the Alternator off. Maybe a lasar to line up the belt and pulleys and a belt tension might be all that I need? These systems cost big bucks to buy. Like March's with all the goodies is like $2,400! What should I do?

Something's clearly out of alignment. One of the accessories could be cocked a bit or the pulleys are not running in the same plane...

Something out of alignment or belt wasn't tight enough. Laser tools are great for determining the alignment, but a strait edge across crank pulley measuring to one of the pulley grooves will work too.
If that fails, just get a C5/6 accessory drive? Don't see many vettes throwing belts.

I second this gary, and a stock corvette accessory drive is about 550 w/o ac, and about 750 with it OP

Hi. First post here. I'm building a 56 Chevy and most likely going with an LS3 to make it move. I've been searching Serpentine Belt Systems for an Alternator, PS package only. As you know, there are dozens of companies that provide these complete kits. Does anyone have a recommendations or specific good experience with any particular company selling these systems.

Use the stock C6 alternator and PS mount with a Katech non spring loaded tensioner. You'll never have an issue.

Andrew, thanks for the reply. Sounds good and I'm sure less expensive than the customized finished kits available.
