Default 2006-8 vs 2009 TBSS intake differences? and TB selection?

I am looking at getting a TBSS intake for my SUV LS1 swap but I noticed that there is a different part number for 2006-2008 (12580420) and 2009 (12620308). Both use the same manifold and TB gaskets, same injectors, but different TB's, which I assume is tuning since they are the same size. It probably doesn't matter which one I get but just in case there is something that could change other part selection I just want to know. Both are super cheap from parts suppliers but the 2009 is slightly cheaper so I'll go with that if nothing else.

Also I'm looking at a 92mm TB cable driven, do I need to port the neck of the intake for a smooth transition since it is 87mm?

Default Drive By Wire to Drive By Cable Conversion Kit

Hi Mike, sorry.

I restate : I manufacture a kit to modify a GM 90mm Throttle Body.

The GM TB 90mm is driven by an electric motor, I remove that item and install a Throttle Position Sensor on a new mount plate including other internal items one such as a new Throttle Shaft, blade screws, etc.

Default Int

Any late model 4 bolt truck int is the same
as a TBSS Cathedral port int. Stock T/B is 87mm
a 90mm LS3 will bolt right on.

I thought it was worth the effort to port it: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...-approach.html

So here is the difference if anyone cares. The pcv "in" on the top. 2009 has a hole, 2006-2008 has the fitting.

Just to add the MAP sensor hold down and sensor sealing o-rings are also different.

Ok while everyone is talking about this 2006-2008 intake can anyone tell me how to / if I can remove and re-clock that PVC fitting ? I'm trying to install a catch can and it would help routing the hoses.

Thanks, Tony
