Default LS2 Swap with 1 wire Alternator

New to LS1Tech and have searched all over for some technical answers, I'm hoping someone here can help. I have a 1968 Nova that I am doing an LS Swap on. I purchased the GM Connect and Cruise package with the LS 376 with the T56 Tranny. I added the billet serpentine system with the one wire alternator. One of the questions I have is hooking up the "Gen" wire from the LS2 computer to the alternator. Since it is a one wire alternator I have a cable ran to my battery to the alternator but I don't know what to do with the "Gen" wire. I'm not sure what the purpose of the wire is and whether I need to hook it up or not. My thoughts are it does not need to be hooked up. Thoughts?

Since you are not using a LS alternator (god knows why not...) you do not need the "Gen" wire in the GMPP harness.

Are you sure your alternator has a two pin connector?

If it has a two pin plug, it's not a 2002 alternator

I can't help you with everything. I'm sure Google can help. Make the file smaller.

The two wire alternator charging is PWM-controlled by the ECU. If you just hook it up with the Bat+ it will go to default, approx 13.7 Volts which might not be enough to charge the battery.
There is a good thread on the Corvette forum.

yea, but if you read the whole thread there is a way to get it to work with a PWM generator. Or with the Arduino nano if you don’t have a 5V output. (Arduino 12V supply)
