Will I have to set timing if I turn the crank bolt with heads off?
I was doing some work on my 6.0 and while changing the head gaskets i also wanted to clean the top of my pistons. If I move the crankshaft bolt to get every piston to TDC, im order to clean it, would I have to mess with timing to get the head back on? Or would I just slap it back on? Also if I only change the rings on the pistons would I have to get my engine rebalanced? Really doesn't need it but if I didn't have to get it rebalanced I might just change them out.

I don't see why.
You remove all the pushrods to remove the heads, plus you aren't removing the cam or timing chain. Everything stays in time.
You put the heads back on, put the pushrods in, and rock and roll.
Also, balancing not required just for changing rings.
You REALLY need to read up on how engines work....

G Atsma is right, as long as the timing chain is still together, timing will not be changed with removing a head and rotating the engine. I wouldnt change the piston rings unless there is clear damage to the pistons, bad compression or if your planning to add TC/SC. You start getting a little more invasive going that route for something that isnt needed at this time.
