Default Name a good water pump

Or is OE the way to go. Mine is barely 8yrs old and its leaking. Thought is should've lasted longer. Least i believe its the pump.
Is the weep hole obscured by the pulley? I can see the leak trickling out from behind the pulley.
Could it be the gaskets? Is there a good aftermarket water pump? OE is what i have currently.
Its an LS3 if that matters. Thanks in advance.

Edelbrock has a nice LS pump you could look at. You will have to see if it matches your lay out as far as pulleys etc.

Melling makes a good high capacity / flow water pump for an LS engine but I think it is the truck style of arrangement. This would change the direction of your hoses and pulleys, etc. But it will bolt up, no problem.

On my LS swaps I use the 2002 Camaro FEA. So I can just go to NAPA and get a lifetime warranty water pump. If it leaks (never had one leak) I keep the receipt and get a new one at no cost. It's pain to change out. My 98 Wrangler LS6 swap the NAPA water pump has 14 years on it with no issues.

Thanks for the recommendations. I looked into the edelbrock, but they're expensive, $400 to $500 Damn! I haven't found someone selling the melling brand yet.

I like the rebuildable part of it, but i'm starting to lean towards the GM/delco part. I guess that's a middle of the road option.

Go with the Mexico made Delco pump. Do NOT buy the chinese made one. There is a big price difference, but it is for good reason.

I prefer to scan my receipts and save them. I have found the printed receipts fade to illegibility right before you need them.

Default Wegner Motorsports

Hi, I always use the Wegner Motorsports pump, they sell a complete kit with pulleys, belts and brackets.
Most often I request those items to be polished.
