So, my Javelin LS swap is slooowwwlllyyyy moving forward.. Have swap mounts on the way. Pictures below are the headers that were on the AMC motor in the car when I bought it. Looking for something similar shape as the LS is going be in a similar position to the AMC motor(same front k- member). If anyone has any recommendations, lmk. Thanks!
FYI, steering box is in front of motor, but note how the front tubes come way back before going down.
Test fit the headers before nailing the mounts down?
I am going to do a bunch of mockup, but the mounts are already bought. Going to borrow a junk block and slide it in to see where everything sits. I have been looking at G body and A body headers and I think one or the other will work. There def is some complication as the headers go down and back as the suspension on this car is like a hybrid 65-70 Mustang w/ A body steering. the strut rods have some crazy rear huge attachments that run right near the collectors. It's going to be interesting...
So just a thought. Maybe build the headers yourself?
I done a couple sets for my LS swap projects. LS header flanges and box of SBC header kit bends from Summit.
Since I suck at welding I tacked them together and had a local pro welder finish tig weld them for me.

I may end up. having to do just that. Waiting to get the long block in and then start mockup. My biggest problem is time, I need to car to bolt together as much as possible, at least for now, to get it on the road. Just trying to not take too many shortcuts, I want it to be as quality as I can afford, but everything is getting stupid expensive.
