More LS2 402/L92/L76 issues
Additionally, he bought the necessary coil pack brackets needed for the swap. The coil packs all fit but the #1 and #2 coil pack will not fit, it is hitting part of the cover. Do we tap or grind anything off to make the packs attach w/ out any issues?
The very last problem we encountered involves the map sensor (assuming it is the map sensor, part number 16212460). It is a sensor attaching to the back of the LS1/6 intake manifolds and extending down to the area by the firewall.
The one on the L76 intake is at the front of the manifold. Do we need a different harness to make this reach down to the firewall or could we just pigtail it?
Thanks
as for map sensor buy the pigtail or extend the harness....i extended mine
I could not find a hole for the other knock sensor. (I am assuming those long black plastic devices with electrical connectors, on the side(s) of the LS1 block, are knock detectors.) The LS2 block only has a hole for the short one on the right rear.
I bought a SDPC/Katech cam/knock electrical extension harness, but the only connector I recognize is the cam- The other two I have no idea. OF course NO INSTRUCTIONS!!!

You can get the MAF extenson harness from SDPC. It set me back $26.95. It is actually from Katech.
You have to move the MAP Sensor wiring to the front. Instead of buying an extention, it can be done by clipping it and extending it in the Harness. Make it come out by the #2 Fuel Injector.
